Run with me

I drive ten minutes to where I want to begin my run. I tie the lace of my shoes and step out onto the road. I'm wearing my beanie, my hoody, and my gloves. It is cold and the road is damp. Snow is lightly revealing itself on the ground.

Mountains understand me.

My legs start pushing the ground beneath me. I can see my breath. I breath in the crisp, perfect air. It soothes my body and my soul. Every step is rhythm and beat... my muscles giving into the music that tells stories of this atmosphere.

I can feel my entire body. It moves effortlessly. It feels like a dance.

Half way through, my leg muscles ache so I use my buttox, my back, and my ab muscles instead. They are happy to intervene for my tiring legs.

Nothing but delicious air and beautiful trees surround me.

This is were I belong. The only place I feel understood.

Surely thou art fairer than any blanket of snow to yet grace the ground, more temperate, and more unique than any snowflake.

Now I've linked MU, cause I like his blog, but now I'm having second thoughts, even if this is tongue in cheek!

Ok, pass the bucket please!

On a separate note (and for the sake of being fair) this post did ...ahem, er, um, er "inspire" (sorry, couldn't find a better word - quick pass me another bucket!) me to undertake some exercise. My surgeons would be proud of you!

:P
